Honored Invitation: Campus Cargo at the 2024 Civil Rights Series

On February 1st — the start of Black History Month and the anniversary of the historic Greensboro Sit-In — Ezra was invited by the International Civil Rights Center & Museum to attend their 2024 Civil Rights Series on behalf of Campus Cargo.

The event marked 64 years since four freshman students from North Carolina A&T made history at the Woolworth’s lunch counter. Being in that space, representing a brand built to honor A&T’s legacy, made the moment even more meaningful.

During the program, Ezra listened in on an interview with Rev. Dr. Benjamin F. Chavis, Jr., who spoke about his work as a Civil Rights activist, his personal journey, and the story behind his wrongful conviction. At the end of the session, Dr. Chavis shared a personal copy of his book, Psalms from Prison, now in its third edition.

The invitation served as a full-circle moment — connecting Campus Cargo’s mission to uplift history with the people and stories that shaped it.
